A Short Story About Us
We are a small kennel on the edge of Tamworth New South Wales, we are not big breeders and usually only do so when we're wanting something to show for ourselves.
I have had dogs all my life, mostly working dogs as I grew up on the land and dogs were expected to earn their keep in those times. My family mostly had Border Collies who were great workers and we also had a Collie Rough. In my late teens I bought "my" first dog a German Shepherd and became involved in Obedience and Showing, I preferred Obedience and still do as you and your dog win on your own merits, it doesn't really matter whose at the end of the lead, it's all about ability, not looks. Then in 1990 I purchased my first Akita and find that I'm still amazed by their presence, strength and loyalty.
In 2005 we purchased our first registered Australian Cattle Dog "Kate" for Ben to show as he was keen on showing and we wanted to get a second breed. We'd always had a "pet" cattle dog and loved the breed.
Both Ben and I have had quite a bit of success with both breeds and enjoy our time away with each other and the dogs and hopefully will continue to do so for a few years to come.
